An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
